How can intelligent lighting help EU economic recovery in the post epidemic era?

On July 21, 2020, EU leaders reached a “historic agreement” on the large-scale economic recovery plan after the new outbreak at the EU special summit. The main body of this agreement is a series of financial plans with a total amount of 1824.3 billion euro, which will be implemented from 2021 to 2027. This is the first time that the EU has borrowed in the form of common debt to repair the economic and social impact of the new epidemic through the union deficit. The European Commission encourages Member States to submit preliminary draft plans based on the European Green deal and the concept of sustainable competition from October 15, 2020 to April 2021.With the development and progress of intelligent technology, lighting will also bring us a more interconnected world. Therefore, intelligent lighting will occupy a central position in the economic recovery plan of EU Member States.

It provides urban public services through the Internet of things infrastructure, and can obtain useful information wherever it goes. Xinuofei’s urban lighting system (interact city) can remotely control a single lamp through app, and can also be used with brightsite smart street lights. All the street lights in the lighting system can also act as it service nodes, support 4G / 5G or WiFi connection, and can be equipped with cameras, microphones and sensors. These devices can help to monitor crimes or traffic accidents, and timely alert the relevant departments. In addition, smart city lighting can automatically adjust the light brightness according to the detected footstep sound to create a safe environment for residents to travel at night.
